Together with several business sponsors, Alaska Airlines is once again proud to host the Fourth Annual Aviation Day on Saturday, May 12, 2012.

This free event is aimed at inspiring aviation dreams in the youth of Puget Sound communities. Aviation Day 2012 will provide the opportunity for high school-aged young adults to learn firsthand about career paths in the aviation industry.

Guided by Alaska Airlines and volunteers from the other sponsor businesses, the youth will be able to "kick the tires," see the wheel wells with mechanics and the flight deck of a Boeing 737 with line pilots. They will look into the guts of a jet engine with employees who fix them, and take a behind-the-scenes tour of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport with those who operate there.

Careers as far ranging as air traffic control to flight attendant will be discussed. Participants will be able to explore just how flights are planned, scheduled and executed. Training facilities will be open for them and engineers will guide them through the construction of aircraft. Several light aircraft and pilots will also be on-site to educate and inspire tomorrow's leaders to take us into the skies of the future.

Come let Alaska Airlines employees show you how our Alaska Spirit soars to the skies and the commitment to our customers is more than just a career — it's who we are. Register after March 21st for an experience you will never forget.

Two sessions will be available on Saturday, May 12, 2012:

    Session 1, 8am-3pm

    Session 2, 9am-4pm

Each session will accommodate approximately 200 attendees. Registration will be cut off when we reach 400 Student/Scout attendees. Lunch of Hot Dogs, Chips and Juice or Soda will be provided. Adult registration do not count toward the total attendees.

Registration is closed  You can still register to go on the Waiting List.

Adults that will accompany the Scouts and Students, must also register.
